About

Our Vision — The African Dream 2030

By the year 2030, every child in Africa under the age of nine will have the opportunity to experience chess at least once in their life.

We believe that every child deserves the chance to discover the game before deciding whether it is for them. Children should have the freedom to choose chess, but first, they need to know chess. By creating meaningful first encounters with the game, we aim to unlock opportunities for learning, personal growth, and lifelong development across the African continent.

Our Mission

To transform the way chess is taught by bridging the gap between adult thinking and child understanding.

We are committed to making chess accessible, engaging, inclusive, and enjoyable for every child, regardless of their background, language, culture, learning style, or ability. By meeting learners where they are, we empower educators, coaches, parents, and communities with child-centred teaching approaches that inspire curiosity, confidence, creativity, and critical thinking.

Through innovative educational practices, collaboration, and sustainable partnerships, we strive to ensure that chess becomes a powerful tool for learning, character development, and opportunity for every child in Africa.
