A training retreat for chess educators: equip yourself with innovative and creative methods to develop academic and 21st-century skills by using chess as an educational tool — combined with three nights by the sea at Sugar Bay Resort.
Presented by WIM Anzel Laubscher (FIDE Senior Lead Instructor, member of the FIDE Chess in Education International Advisory Board). Organised in partnership with D&D School Chess (Durban and Districts).
What to expect: practical chess-in-education strategies, curriculum integration and lesson ideas, skill development for learners, networking with fellow educators, and team building.
Price: R1,500 per delegate (R1,000 for the first delegate from a D&D affiliated school). Includes 3 nights’ accommodation, all meals at Sugar Bay, and the course fee.
